Investors - LC / Title III of Jobs Act - Any Impact?
October 29, 2015, 11:00:00 PM
Apparently something relating to SEC crowdfunding passed today:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/goncalodevasconcelos/2015/10/30/democratising-crowdfunding-what-can-the-us-learn-from-the-uk/" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">http://www.forbes.com/sites/goncalodevasconcelos/2015/10/30/democratising-crowdfunding-what-can-the-us-learn-from-the-uk/

I hadn't heard of this until now - does it matter to LC? Hasn't LC already been crowdfunding equity? Or is there some distinction here between consumer debt P2P and...idk...venture capital P2P. I assume either way this isn't bad news for LC, potential good news?

Investors - LC / Time for LC to Raise Interest Rates?
October 05, 2015, 11:00:00 PM
It's a debtors market! As competitors to LC rise, all will pursue the same debtors...we are not the customers, only mercenaries that keep LC greased. If one mercenary goes down, many others will take their place, so no need to pay them more with higher interest rates, especially when a moderately sized bank could probably buy up the entire P2P market in a day as it currently stands. Indeed, if tomorrow LC gave a 1% interest rate haircut across the board, I would grouse and bitch, then keep buying more notes and thank them for the privilege   https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif" alt=":-[" title="Embarrassed" class="smiley" />

Investors - LC / only A/B notes available?
September 22, 2015, 11:00:00 PM
Doesn't bode well for next quarter's loan volume increase :/

I've just started allocating in seven equal portions for each A-G grade, all 60 month notes. That may be underthinking it but w/e it covers all bases and misses none

General Lending Club Discussion / LC Stock Price
May 09, 2015, 11:00:00 PM
I got SL smoked at 18, put in place to guard against the lockup expiry, got tripped much earlier than I thought. Sigh, I'll be back, but I don't know at what price. Related question: I read somewhere on this forum that the lockup expiry was divided in two segments, one in June, one in August, true or false?

Investors - LC / LC lowers rates gain
February 04, 2015, 11:00:00 PM
As long as my precious G crap notes stay the same I'm happy.  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/grin.gif" alt=";D" title="Grin" class="smiley" />

Does lowering yield put more money in LC's pocket directly? Or does it just potentially get them more borrowers via more competitive rates?

Also I agree with the sentiment that investors are fighting like dogs over too few borrowers, they should introduce GR or Greek grade notes with 50% interest and desperately high risk, I'd buy em. Though I guess that would fly in the face of "LC is not a payday loan company." Though why it's striving to not be a payday loan company is a mystery to me, payday loans are wildly profitable, which is why there are so many in Georgia. I seriously doubt any of the sharks investing in LC notes are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts...

Investors - LC / First LC results scheduled for when?
January 22, 2015, 11:00:00 PM
When are LC's first quarter results scheduled for? Do they even have anything scheduled? Also what is the date for end of LC big investor lockout period?

Investors - LC / 3 weeks in review
January 21, 2015, 11:00:00 PM
They should only present loans when they're 100% ready to go, do all the paperwork on the front end and then open the money spigot as the last step.

It says "sent to advance collector" after a certain point (a month?). Is that a leg breaker third party debt collector, or is it still LC handling the recovery? Also is there a stage beyond advanced collector? What actually happens if a loan defaults, can it come back to life, or does LC just sell the loan for ten cents on the dollar and be done with it?

Well boys looks like we're ruined, the LC notes aren't worth digital toilet paper to wipe digital butts.  https://forum.lendacademy.com/Smileys/default/shocked.gif" alt=":o" title="Shocked" class="smiley" />
